Sr Designer Engineer - Nigeria

-The Engineer is responsible to develop Structural Engineering works covering all packages of the project : incorporables equipments, installation aids, support to other disciplines
-The Engineer is responsible of the follow-up of the planning and forecast of deliverables and works under his responsibility
-The Engineer is responsible to manage the Structural Engineers (expatriates and locals people) part of the Structure discipline team
-The Engineer is responsible to lead interfaces with people listed in section 3 of the present role description
-The Engineer is responsible to deliver deliverables (drawings, software model, calculation notes) with the highest standard of quality as defined in Acergy and OCEON quality procedures
-The Engineer is responsible to focus on safety issues, particularly when designed equipments and installation aids
-The Engineer must follow recommendation given by the Lead Engineer located in Paris Office and by the
Structure Mentor located in OCEON.


Status:     Contract
Required Skills/Experience:     •Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification plus at least 4 to 5 years relevant experience in Offshore industry. An experience in Technip or Saipem is a plus
•Strong knowledge in designing offshore structures (jackets, plets, Manifolds, installation aids, …).
•Good software skills such as NSO (New Strudl Offshore), SACS, Stucad, …
•Able to perform hand calculations and to check calculation notes done by others
•Good knowledge of industry code and standards : API RP 2A, AISC, DnV
•Knowledge in welding, fabrication. Knowledge in materials, specifically steels
•Capability to manage individuals within the project and interface with personnel both internal or external to the project
•Ability to motivate other members of project team to deliver project commitments
